This training is sponsored by HUD’s Office of Native American Programs. It will provide a comprehensive introduction to the monitoring activities required for IHBG recipients by the Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act (NAHASDA) of 1996. Participants will become familiar with the recently updated Self-Monitoring Guidebook and learn about their responsibilities for monitoring their grant activities to ensure compliance with applicable federal requirements. Knowledge of how to monitor grant activities will help the housing organization meet its goals and objectives and increase the organization’s capacity to achieve NAHASDA’s objectives as well.
